How to sell your videos with Fitune in 6 simple steps

Video on-demand has become a widely popular feature in the fitness industry and there are good reasons why. It gives you the opportunity to earn a great passive income because it’s very scalable.

Some fitness instructors even upload their recorded live sessions,  allowing your clients who missed the class to watch it on their own time.

How to get started?

Fitune makes it surprisingly easy for you to start monetizing your on-demand content. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Record your videos:

The best part is that you don’t need  fancy equipment to get started! You can start recording using your phone and laptop.

Make sure you point your phone at the right angle, you can use a tripod or anything else to hold your phone still. Find a spot with enough space and good lighting to record. If you plan to give instructions, the best thing would be to get a microphone OR add text to your videos (it may require more editing, but it's not hard).

If you record your live sessions already, you probably have enough material to get started!

2. Editing the videos

You don’t need to be a pro video editor to have a nice fitness video. Just follow the advice above and then just add a title, take a nice picture for a thumbnail and you can also add some copyright free music.

Most phones come with a video editor built right into their gallery apps so you probably don’t even need to download anything else, but you can also find amazing options both on mobile and for your PC.

It’s also highly recommended to compress your videos because you will save storage space and it will load faster for your clients, and don’t worry, you don't lose quality. You can learn more about it on this blog.

3. Upload your content

With those nice looking videos ready, it’s time to get them out there! You need a flexible platform that 's easy to use, but still has all the features you want.

Luckily for you, Fitune is all of that and more.

Unlike other platforms, we don’t lock you into our own proprietary solution, you have options no matter the plan you have. Just log in to your Fitune account and go to the Video on-demand tab, click on Add video and choose any of our 3 options (Fitune’s native storage, YouTube or Vimeo).

4. Keep adding new videos

Your clients will be expecting new videos from you every now and then, especially if they’re under a subscription. That’s why it’s a good idea to have a plan on how often you should add new videos, this will depend entirely on you and your clients. It can be a new video every week or month, or even a new series every 6 weeks. By doing this, your clients will have something to expect and a good reason to renew their subscription.

5. Choose your pricing options

Memberships and packages are the main pricing strategies nowadays, but don’t underestimate the power of PAYG (Pay-as-you-go) as well. You can have all your videos available for a recurring price and even offer a free trial to get more people to try it.

But that’s not all you can do! You can also set up a one-time purchase or even have a renting price to each individual video!

Having more alternatives for people to access your content will help you reach a bigger audience and therefore increase your client base and passive income.

6. Help people find your content

Now that your content is in a user-friendly and feature-rich platform, it’s a lot easier for you to use your social media to advertise it and get new clients. If you need more help with this, you can also check this blog.
